Florida VELO Development Team
Benefit Ride
Join us in support of Florida's Junior Development Team as we raise
money to help send a select group of talented young cyclists to Val-d'Or
in Quebec, Canada. There they will participate in a five day stage
race known as the "Tour de l'Abitibi" on July 25th through 29th.
They will be competing against 26 other teams from around the world.
This international competition is considered the most important
development road race of its category and is also North America's
most difficult and longest in duration and distance.
This year, Citrus Cycling's own Jimmy Page has been selected to join
the team along with several outstanding junior riders. Please help
us fund their efforts by participating in our benefit ride. We have
selected three different routes taking you through some of Citrus
County's most beautiful and un-populated areas. The ride will start
in downtown Inverness and travel south through Floral City and
Istachatta on gorgeous tree-covered country roads. This ride also
features fully-stocked sag stops for the 34 and 62 mile options and
a post-ride lunch. Come and see what great cycling Citrus County has
to offer and support a great cause!
